Moon says, "Jupiter, you're running for the solar system's seat in the galaxy congress--- why'd you stop rotating?" Jupiter says, "There will be no spinning in my campaign!" Moon says, "Do you support medical coverage for all heavenly bodies?" Jupiter says, "I am in favor of universal healthcare!" Moon says, "Can you get votes from both Earth and Mars?" Jupiter says, "My policies will appeal to red and blue planets!" Moon says, "And you're kicking off the campaign with a trip around the sun?" Jupiter says, "Yes, I'm starting a revolution!"

Clark: Youâre doing Rich Grise the favor of responding to him with a reasoned argument â the favor being your assumption that he has reasons to be argued with.
He sounds like someone whom life has treated kindly enough, physically and in other ways, to be able to earn enough, by the sweat of his brow, so that he can afford to meet his own needs and depend on no one. (Or so he thinks, but thatâs another discussion.) Am I right, Rich?
That would make some people humbly grateful for their good fortune, and compassionate toward others not so well off. Sadly, it leaves others with callouses where their hearts and consciences ought to be, and an attitude of: âHey, I got mine, so screw you.â

Communism was a good idea, until the higher-ups got power hungry. Then everything went to hell in a hand basket.

Higher-ups always get power-hungry, Bdaysuit, unless theyâre truly extraordinary and humble individualsâŠand those are rare. Thatâs why just and prosperous societies never let the higher-ups get too high, and out of touch with those theyâre working for â in business, government, or anything else.

Hey SCATTY_423, you got it right. Itâs nice to know that there are still intelligent people in the world that truly understand, WHATâS REALLY GOING ON! PEACE Yâall

RCMinor, you also seem to have it together. Praise the thinkers.

RCMinor - just FYI - the original Christians were communists - there are New Testament verses that declare that people who join the church should sell all they have and hold their assets in common for the good of all. The original organized communes were monasteries (and they still are).
âIt completely denies the worth of the individual, and puts him subordinate to the abstract concept of âThe People.ââ
And capitalism completely denies the worth of the individual, and puts him subordinate to profit.

That spotâs in the wrong place - itâs 22° south of the Jovian equator.

@runar, thanks for making a point I was about to add.
Theistic communists (monks) do better than many groupsâbut still need to reform and get back to original principles every 200 years or so.
Iâm just worried: Jupiter is starting his campaign with a revolution? You thought elections took a long time nowâheâs just added 12 years to it.

Iâm no scientist but I though the main idea behind a man named Darwinâs theory was a species would improve by the weak and sick being removed from the gene pool. Sounds hard, but who told you life was easy.

Evolution does not suggest that the strongest survive, at least among humans. Consider that the most successful humans usually have small families whereas less successful humans are more likely to have larger families. Thus, their genetic material is more likely to survive in the long run.
