At least Peppermint Patty’s sandals don’t have any hobnails like Roman Caligae do. Good for griping the ground. But hard on the enemy when you are stomping over them. It’s sort of like having spikes.

One season of high school football we had a junior A (farm team for the NHL) hockey star playing quarterback. Any time he decided to keep the ball, he left a string of us defencemen lying on the ground like Charlie Brown.

Charlie must really be out of it if he thinks the ball was his head. Thanks a lot, Peppermint Patty.
