So if today’s Nancy is influenced by Japanese comics, I tried reading it from right to left, and you know what? It was even dumber than if I had read it the American way!
What’s funny is, you don’t see the stuff in this Sunday page a lot in manga these days. The rivers of tears running down somebody’s cheek, the sweat-drop of embarrassment, the vein in the forehead pounding with annoyance…
It’s true that these elements were once new and dynamic but have become as cliched as the “two guys on a desert island” meme in American cartoon strips.

Panel 6 is very avatar worthy,
I feel the best joke is in the title panel, though.

Good seeing the title panel — not included by my local newspaper. : )

I think this was originally formatted as two tiers of 3 — it reads best in the order Panel 3-2-1-6-5-4. (Excluding the title, which is separate.)

I think whoever laid this out for the web didn’t get it. This is what it should look like: https://twitter.com/JapanNewbie/status/1317554231830827010

My problem with English speakers creating manga is that they are doing it wrong
The text should be written right to left if they Really want to do it the Japanese way
