So when do the Hispanics get their anthem?

There is a black anthem? Since when?

It’s “Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing” by James Weldon Johnson. Been around since 1899, a tribute to Abe Lincoln.

Is this a real thing? Playing a song to further segregate? The point of Black Lives Matter, is that we are all ONE. That we lose the subliminal mind-set where we read about a killing and quickly check to make sure that it wasn’t “one of us”, and start to realize that no matter who it was, it IS “one of us”.

Yes, this is a serious issue, but I appreciate the joke.

I am going to drink Canadain beer during the Canadain anthem.

With so few fans at the stadiums, the beer lines should move faster. You may have to go back and buy 2 more.

Would it racist to say, When they come up with something better than “La Bamba”?

Why play any national anthem at all? It’s not like a game is a state occasion! What do other countries do anyway (serious question)? All I know is that the Canadian anthem is played when a Canadian team plays in the US, but what about when two Canadian teams are playing each other in Canada?

(I don’t think national anthems should be played for the gold medal winners at the Olympics either)

Coincidentally, the home team I no longer watch has decided to not win any games. Karma?
