I’m surprised that there was anything left in California to burn.

People can be evacuated, houses and businesses can be rebuilt. An orchard or vineyard will take a generation to get back to normal.

I checked the air quality at 2am and it was fair

Was going to go for a walk a little bit ago and I checked again

Think they have had enough yet? Maybe they should go back to forest management. No, wait. Their governor has his head up h. . .

The hippies deliberately set the fires. To wring money out of the much-maligned, impecunious Congress and their One-Percenter owner/operators. They’re down to their last few trillions. Bless their hearts.

Ironic isn’t it.. that it takes “oil” to make the color you blame on oil.

Regardless of whom your politics direct your “blame gene” towards, the fact is that California has, and has had for quite some time, eighteen large national forests for whose responsibilities lie with the US government, and not the state. Not the state.

    Angeles National Forest

Cleveland National Forest Eldorado National Forest

    Inyo National Forest

    Klamath National Forest

    Lassen National Forest

    Los Padres National Forest

    Mendocino National Forest

    Modoc National Forest

    Plumas National Forest

    San Bernardino National Forest

    Sierra National Forest

    Six Rivers National Forest

    Sequoia National Forest

    Shasta-Trinity National Forest

    Stanislaus National Forest

    Tahoe National Forest

I’m sitting here in the dry foothills of No. California and wondering/hoping this scourge will pass me by, but I can’t complain about California and fires when they’re mostly federally located.

P.S. I also see nothing wrong with this cartoon—it’s a cartoon.
