Don’t know what planet they’re living on.

This year, it is the VP debate that matters.

Heaven knows, we could do without another Donnie show.

Pence still believes he has a chance to be president. So does Mother.

Pence also believes Trump gives a crap about him.

Even Trump Disciples don’t give a crap about him.

Trump apparently decided he doesn’t have to pretend he cares about people anymore. Relief after the election is six months too late for many thousands of families facing eviction and hunger. Oh, wait, maybe he does care that the stock market cares whether he cares…

Hey, I’m really looking forward to tonight’s debate! I remember his electrifying performance in 2016! White bread on rice!

I can’t wait for the Stantisfernuthin sarcastic pieces after the POtuS loses, about how “everything is fixed.”

The drip-drip-drip of positive tests, coupled with the specter of a president who as of Saturday was “not on a clear path to a full recovery,” as White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows put it, has prompted some Republicans to question whether the party is responsible for its own potential undoing.

And it has left them wondering how to wage a strong closing campaign when the judgment, actions and competence of its leaders were so squarely at issue just as voting is getting underway across the country.

“There was a panic before this started, but now we’re sort of the stupid party,” said Edward J. Rollins, co-chairman of the pro-Trump super PAC Great America.

“Candidates are being forced to defend themselves every day on whether they agree with this or that, in terms of what the president did on the virus.”

“The president and the people around him flouted the rules,” said Republican strategist Michael Steel, who was an aide to former House Speaker John Boehner.

“We wish him and his family a speedy recovery, but he has been reckless, and voters dealing with the health and economic effects on them and their families won’t look on that kindly.”

Stuart Stevens, a veteran Republican adviser who works with the anti-Trump Lincoln Project, said “there is fatalism” among GOP officials and donors. “They wonder, ‘What can you do? How can you spin this?’ ”

(The Borowitz Report)—Mike Pence said that he was “extremely grateful” that the organizers of Wednesday night’s Vice-Presidential debate would be providing a plexiglass shield to protect him from a woman.

Speaking to reporters, Pence said that the Commission on Presidential Debates had taken “appropriate measures” to shield him from exposure to a female during the Salt Lake City face-off.

“I’ve read all the relevant literature, and from what I’ve learned a plexiglass shield provides adequate protection from a woman,” he said. “Knowing that this barrier exists between me and a member of the opposite sex, I feel comfortable about moving forward with the debate.”

The Vice-President added that, if he makes it through Wednesday’s debate without being exposed to a woman, he may start bringing a portable plexiglass shield with him on the campaign trail.

“Despite all of my precautions, in my travels across this great land of ours I have unfortunately encountered women,” Pence said. “Plexiglass might be the answer.”

The fact that both were allowed to be exposed at the same event shows just how incompetent this administration is.

Anti-science denialism is deeply rooted within the GOP’s culture. There’s also the smug, faux strong man factor that appeals to their base.

After tweeting that he was ending negotiations for another stimulus package until after the election tRump pulled another 180 after seeing the reaction of the stock markets.

He will now support 25 Billion Dollars for Airline Payroll Support, & 135 Billion Dollars for Paycheck Protection Program for Small Business, as well as another round of $1,200 stimulus checks in standalone bills. (gotta boost the stock markets, and keep unemployment down so the economy looks good and buy those votes)

tRump has not said anything about funding for COVID-19 testing, enhanced jobless benefits, eviction protections and moratorium, and school reopening support in his latest tweets.p>https://www.cnet.com/personal-finance/stimulus-package-negotiations-trump-teases-a-restart-after-pulling-the-plug/

So as negotiations continue to stall millions of Americans will continue to suffer.

Tomorrow every biden/harris supporter will claim harpie harris wiped the stage with preacher pence. Every trump/pence supporter will claim pence exposed harris for the socialist swamp chameleon that she really is. Virtually nobody will change their vote based on this debate.

We should care. There’s a good chance that the next VP will actually be president before 2024 considering trump’s generally poor health habits, the age of both he and Joe Biden, and the fact that covid is far from over.

I got home around 9:30 and turned it on for 30 seconds. Saw Pence with a sneer shaking his head while Harris was talking and turned it off again.
