Ignorance is bliss.

My brain was crushed by the Presidential debate.

I don’t discuss politics with anyone.

Moondog reminds me of an old Jackson Brown song with the lyrics..“You take Sally, I’ll take Sue…there ain’t no difference between the two.” When it comes down to an election result being determined by counting ‘chads’ in Florida, it makes me wonder if, in the really big picture of it all, there really is a difference between the two. The same results could have just as easily have been determined by a flip of the coin.

Probably says a lot about me, but I thought that movie was kind of stupid.

Like that other Jim Carrey movie, Truman Show, Spotless Mind was one of those movies I ought to have loved because of its fascinating premise. It was just poor and shallow in its execution, I thought, and ultimately a disappointment.

I didn’t remember the soundtrack at the time, but the radio show This American Life used it for some of its shows and it has since become a favourite of mine. Well, the instrumental bits mostly.

I don’t think Monty deserves to be bunched up with Moondog………………..this one time.

Pretty hard to get away from it …

Ignorance is not bliss. But avoiding politics as much as is practically possible makes for a much less stressful existence. Beer helps, too, Moonie….
