Those self-harm photos that keep appearing on the blog make me wonder if Teresa is trying to tell us something.

If the Facebook version of you is a cat, donā€™t be surprised if your account is canceled. Facebook is cracking down on ā€œnonhumanā€ accounts.

Thomas had nothing on me when it comes to trust issues. Did the cat do that?

    Dear Teresa

I noticed that those nice people who superintend the GoComics web site (I think you refer to them as ā€œOverlordsā€ (a bit strident, donā€™t you think my dear?)) published a special Motherā€™s Day collection of comics yesterday. There were lots of Calvin & Hobbes strips, several Cul de Sacs, and even a Doozies. However, I didnā€™t notice a single FA or Garfield. Based on this I can only conclude that future FA offerings will include more references to lasagna.

    Sincerely,

    Rotiferā€™s Mother

P.S. Speaking of Garfield, I couldnā€™t help but notice heā€™s using another hilarious nap gag today while youā€™ve apparently wandered off into uncharted ā€œartā€ swamps again. ā€œCreativeā€ is a nice word, but Iā€™ll bet Bill Keaneā€™s banker would tell you that thereā€™s nothing wrong with ā€œpredictable,ā€ ā€œconventionalā€ or ā€œlooks good imprinted on tee shirts, coffee mugs, and baseball capsā€ either.

It would be convenient if all women who canā€™t be trusted had that message tattooed to their faces.

this may be hard to believe, and maybe it was just an illusion, but in reading todayā€™s Family Circus, the corners of my mouth actually started an upward movement that could have been interpreted as a smile. well, loosely interpreted, anyway.

which is the closest I can remember ever being close to a LOL at a Bill Keane creation

however, my IDA KNOW t-shirt sure helps me pick up babes in bars, even the ones who canā€™t be trusted

Isnā€™t it fascinating how many ā€œbody builderā€ types die of heerat atacks??

Todayā€™s strip reminds me of that old song, ā€œYouā€™r lips tell Me ā€˜No! No!,ā€™ but thereā€™s wee wee in your eyes!ā€

I confess, I never understood those lyrics.

Terry Pratchettā€™s steel sword, which contains some bits of meteoric iron ore. He smelted the metal and then assisted a blacksmith in forging, hardening and tempering it.

locoowl, the ā€œweeweeā€ could be ā€œoui, oui.ā€ Thereā€™s an Arthur Fields song from WW I called ā€œOui, Oui, Marie.ā€ That might be the inspiration for those lyrics.

Those eyes look a bit like the cover art for ā€œThe Great Gatsby.ā€

What is it with GoComics (and they will soon be the only (almost) game in town)? They donā€™t load FA; they keep dropping comics from my list; drop my account so I have to sign in. And they are taking over for comics.com. Iā€™m not happy.

Re vainglory: Iā€™ve seen that a lot. Didnā€™t the Eagles have a song about that - ā€œLife in the Fast Laneā€?

Looks like the Poster Child has designs on the Poster Cat. From the position of the Poster Catā€™s ears, we can gather that the Poster Cat is definitely not a Happy Camper!

    @BillThompson -

Thanks for the clarification. That line was one of my first wifeā€™s favorite jokes. She had an odd sense of humor. After all, she married me!
