My grandfather use to say that one should not name their food. Hence, we didn’t name the chickens, pigs or cows. However, a couple of times he called the pigs, Tasty.
How sad, all these comments and no mention of Deuteronomy Chapter 14. Whether you’re a believer or not, this is where it came from. Also Leviticus 11.
I took care of horses and other animals on my uncle’s farm in NY every year for 3 months before going back to school, plus the other farm animals. I could never ever eat horse meat. Sorry people but to me they were for riding. Period. JMHO
