“Considered”? They ARE fruits. They develop from a flower and they contain seeds.

Botanically speaking, they are a fruit…

…in a culinary manner, the entire eastern hemisphere treats them as a vegetable.

India in particular has a long history of using the pumpkin. In Mumbai, the Zoroastrian immigrants from Iran – forever known as the Parsis – make a surprisingly delicious pumpkin and lentil stew with meat, called dhansak.

In today’s “That A Baby” strip, the Dad is also telling Baby that a pumpkin is a fruit.

Either way, they still won’t eat it—-unless you trick them by turning it into a pie!

Some Homo sapiens are “considered to be” people.
