Roscoe wondering how does stealing a cookie then finding out you didn’t change the taste. By the way Earl if you don’t like it and if it’s oatmeal raisin give it to me.
I have found that sneaking a taste isn’t worth the downside if caught. Interestingly, when I cook something, Spouse expects first taste and takes it without asking or any sign of guilt. Life ain’t fair, I guess. (what a thought!)
The Little Rascals did essentially this story twice. The kids decided to fake the measles to get out of school, and it turned out to be the day Miss Crabtree had ice cream brought into class as a surprise.
Shame on you, Earl. Stand in your strength! “Yes I did, Opal, and there’s nothing you can do about it. And it was delicious! Some of the best ones you’ve made!”
Perfect , just perfect today the precious Roscoe in three panels and with a cool look in the seventh panel . Thanks again Brian . And why is bad for dogs to eat chocolate ?
I know that a dog won’t care what kind of cookie, even if he/she would get sick on it. Sorry for your reactions – I had no idea allergies can show up two days later. Maybe you should just keep chocolate out of your house. I am sensitive to coffee. No one is allowed to have it in my home unless it’s in an adult sippie cup, and even then there better be a good reason for it. Plus take the cup home to wash it. I get migraines from just the smell.

“Forbidden fruit” always looks better, smells better and tastes better. But sometimes that forbidden fruit can end up being bitter instead of better…

I’m wondering if medieval despot felt the same lack-of-taste when their food tasters survived…

A real dog would have snatched that cookie from his hand and run off with it, leaving a trail of crumbs.

It took awhile … but I have learned to simply appreciate provenance when it knocks on my door. Particularly if warm fresh baked cookies are involved.
