Huh. You have to get drunk to do that? I can do it stone cold sober. . .and sometimes (often?) do. . .

Nerve impulses travel a bit slower than a racehorse: at about 35 mph. Given the few inches between the brain and mouth it only takes a fraction of a second from thought to tongue.

World War I aircraft had a interrupter gear which kept the machine gun from firing when the propeller was in the way. It was a nifty invention since it kept pilots from shooting themselves down. Too bad people don’t have a similar mechanism between brain and mouth to keep them from shooting themselves down.

And, when is it when you’re not drunk?
