In the beginning of July Kansasâ Democratic Governor issued a state wide mask mandate.
The Republican controlled legislature countered by passing a law that gave mask mandate authority to the counties and not the Governor.
None of the âRedâ counties have a mask mandate while the âBlueâ counties do have a mask mandate.
âThe KU researchers demonstrated Kansas counties without the mask order experienced a surge in coronavirus infection rates that climbed from about 10 cases per 100,0000 in July to nearly 40 cases per 100,000 in October. The number of cases for counties covered by the mask order plateaued since July at around 20 cases per 100,000.â
Well it doesnât look like we will have a COVID vaccine before the election. Maybe by January, maybe. But hereâs the thing. The vaccines currently in phase 3 trials do not kill the virus, they suppress the symptoms. Suppressing the symptoms will save lives but you can still have enough of a virus load to spread the disease.
Trump is angry that the campaign isnât being waged in the universe he tried to manufacture for it, one in which the most serious threat to civil society right now is organized violent left-wing terrorism.
Trump has devoted extraordinary resources to the creation of this universe. Last spring his campaign dumped at least $20 million into ads depicting the terrifying police-free dystopia that Joe Biden would allegedly create. Many of his senior law enforcement and national security officials lent official credence to an absurdly exaggerated depiction of the leftist threat.
The Biden response to this was to point out that Trumpâs âlaw and orderâ rhetoric is a smokescreen for deliberately stoking white backlash while working to encourage and politically profit from violent civil strife. This was illustrated with ads suggesting that Trump encourages white supremacy and vigilante violence by his supporters.
Of course, all of that is exactly what Trump has been doing, as senior adviser Kellyanne Conway revealed when she admitted to the calculation that violence helps him politically. Yet this wasnât supposed to be exposed. He was supposed to get away with stoking white backlash while making the debate all about exaggerated impressions of leftist violence.
And so, when Trump rages about being pressed on his flirtation with white supremacy, and insists we should be talking about antifa instead, heâs raging that he isnât being allowed to dictate this campaignâs reality with impunity.
Indeed, the new Department of Homeland Security threat assessment â an official government document, as opposed to public statements from political appointees â concludes that white supremacist extremists pose the deadliest domestic terror threat. The fact that Biden is winning the âlaw and orderâ argument suggests reality is trumping the presidentâs recasting of it.

When the toughest question she asked was, âAre you ready for some tough questions?â, Iâm thinking it was the recipient and not the line of questioning that was the problem.
The party of f- your feelings is very mad someone gave their dear leader a tough interview. He is a poor manâs idea of a rich man, a weak manâs idea of a tough man and dumb manâs idea of a smart man.

Masks are not 100% effective against the spread of the coronavirus BUT THEY HELP SLOW THE SPREAD!
Be smart. Wear a mask, mandate or not.

It really is disconcerting when I notice that Winslow hovers over his feet⊠Same when Harry makes a non-fascist statement.
