NY Department of Labor (after 4 levels of menus, two input identification numbers, and 3 unrelated informational recordings): “We are experiencing heavy call volume, try again later” {click}.
Yep, they will do that. Or transfer you to a department that has closed for the day.
That happens more often than not.
The promised paperless workplace never developed, and neither did the the efficiencies of the digital revolution. Now both are on perpetual hold
But this call is important to you, we could care less.
