OK, so now I know it’s a sack, but still don’t understand the moving eye holes.

Yeah, weren’t the official instructions about what to do in a nuclear attack: 1) Sit in a chair. 2) Spread your legs. 3) Put your head between your legs. 4) Kiss your ass goodbye.

Don’t you just hate it when facts and logic interfere with your irrationality ?

I’ve been thinking what Snoopy and Woodstock reminded of for the last several days. It was the Saturday cartoon The Herculoids. One of the “crew” of the Herculoids were two, (one large and one small), blobs with eyes.

A sack over their heads shouldn’t be questioned. After all, it worked for the Unknown Comic.

About as much good as a blanket burrito: it’s not much protection, but it makes you feel safer.

With a nod to Douglas Adams, if you can’t see the end of the world, then it can’t see you.

None with a comet approaching – but under the current health crisis it would be pretty effective.

Somehow, Snoopy and Woodstock manage to look cute even from underneath a sack!

The right sack over the head would at least prevent you from seeing the end of the world.

It’s been said many times. What’s the point of amassing wealth if the world were going to end. You cannot take it with you wherever your destiny afterlife would be.

I have nothing but respect for Snoopy and Woodstock dealing with their angst as best they can. I WOULD HAVE LOTS of upset if they FORCED ME to do as they do as IF their way was the ONLY way! js

Or you can hide your head in the sand like an ostrich, snoopy but then your backside will be exposed

I think Shulz just got a kick out of drawing Snoopy and Woodstock like that.

It might be okay. I was taught that hiding under a desk would save me from a nuclear attack.

I’ll be willing to bet that everyone has hid under their bed covers at least once in their life.

I had a cat who would run and hide under the bedspread if anything frightened him. Not the bed but the thin little bedspread! If he couldn’t see anything, nothing could see him!

Here’s another question: What good would a sack do? Wouldn’t the comet just bonk the sack. If I were you, I’d still be able to feel it. oh, and one more think. The world isn’t ending!!

As a kid the absurdity of it never crossed my mind… but we used to practice hiding under our desks to save ourselves during a nuclear attack. But, in those days everyone was digging holes in their backyards to hide in too… so it was a lot of widespread stupid running loose.

On the plus side, those ridiculously small fall out shelters were a pretty good place to go during a tornado (for those of us without a real basement). Much better than hiding under a table (which I recall doing as a kid as well).

Kinda puts the sack over the head into perspective… 8^)

Snoopy and Woodstock can take one truth to heart: all the predictions of the world ending shortly have one thing in common: they ALL have been wrong.
