Ah… life, I have so many things to fix and it gets tiring. Our upright freezer was icing up on the bottom, the temperature going up and things were not freezing. Thick ice on the line back to the compressor. Defrosted it a few times, water was coming out showing some melting, still issues, Googled solutions etc.. Finally bought a new one. I was not going to be defeated. Before throwing it out I took the old one apart and found it was still caked with solid ice. I took a paint heat gun and started to melt it, the thermostat was frozen in, everything. A couple of days of defrost was not going to fix that. Once it was cleaned up or melted completely, and reassembled, it is perfect.
One day you need to be a mechanic, the next a refrigeration specialist, botany expert the next.
I didn’t really notice when mine started leaking … so a replacement refrigerator turned into a kitchen remodel due to water damage to the floor. :-( On the plus side – the wife really likes the new countertops she picked.

She seems pretty cool about the problem. Was it Vanilla ice?

Should have bought a suspended fridge. Never trust a can’t deliver fridge.

Send those “plumbing” people away. Can’t stand stupid at a stressful time like this.

The plumber version of “Dewey, Screwem, and Howe?” Okay the numbers are off, but, it’s close.
