Wild turkeys can fly, domestic turkeys had it bred out of them.

It was wild the first time I saw a flock of turkeys hanging out in a pine tree. Up until then I was under the impression they were flightless and not really a perching type of bird.

That’s why you need someone to keep an eye out to shoo them away.

I hate house flies but shoe flies don’t bother me.

Living in a rural and wooded area, I frequently see turkeys flying. Just the other day a rafter (large group of turkeys) flew across the highway a few feet above my car. They also wander around the 25 acre forest behind the house. I saw the WKRP episode when it first aired in 1978.

I came to the realization that turkeys could fly when, one day, I came home there was one on the roof om my house.

Cool, I wasn’t expecting a WKRP reference in the comics.

Wild turkeys and domesticated fatties are two different birds.. and flying abilities.

This cartoon reminds me of the Thanksgiving episode of WKRP in Cincinnati.
