Love the blank stare. The dogs and I spent the night in Genoa, a lovely little historic town at the base of the Sierra in Nevada. I should have waited until this morning to shop at Trader Joes as the bears are still active and I had to unload everything from my car including 2 ice chests and about 10 bags of groceries, bags of bird seed and anything else with an odor. They recently ripped the door off a barn just outside my cottage, but all was quiet last night. Snow everywhere, it is lovely.

My neighbors’ cat, who is allowed to mooch on my cat’s food outdoors, understands my only rule for him. Of course he understands it this way: He must never come into the house when I am watching .

Unfortunately, Chesney probably isn’t listening. On another note, saw two seagulls on the way home from work today. I also saw a wren outside. Heard some birds singing while out walking today.

Tomorrow my daughter and Yesmin’s mother are coming to clean my house, rearrange my furniture in a way my daughter thinks will be less in my way…ha…and get rid of all the extra chairs I have hidden upstairs. RIFA and the dump will be busy tomorrow. I’m trying to think where I could go to hide.
