We decided to put up the Christmas tree early. I had 2 9 foot, 50 inch around trees. Then I realized as I now live in a 2100sf house, there wouldn’t have been room for us, furniture etc. I ordered a 7 1/2 foot 33 inch around tree at Michaels. And we sold the other two big ones on Facebook Marketplace in 45 minutes! And they paid for my new one.I loved the big ones, but…

We have always had a 9’ plus fresh tree. But this year without much help to decorate, and noone coming on Christmas, I am not sure what we will do. I don’t give up easily and I am afraid if we lower our standards this year it will be hard to go back.

I’m seeing lots of geese this week. Not flying, though. There’s a pond & fountain outside an apartment building on my way to work. The fountain is actually turned off now, but the geese LOVE that pond. The past couple days, I’ve seen literally DOZENS of geese gathered in and around that pond (mostly in the grass, not the water). Sometimes, they stop traffic as the walk across the road to go to that spot. They don’t always use the crosswalk (but actually, they’re not far off from it) and they don’t care about crossing against the “walk” light, but the traffic always stops to let them cross. I’ve been hoping to catch a video of them on my dash cam as they cross the road, but by the time I get to that street, the geese are already flocked all around that pond. I have not yet checked my dash cam to see if I’ve captured them on video as they are all over the yard around that apartment building.
