    One time, in art class, I painted a lake scene. It wasn’t until I brought it home & my mother pointed it out to me that I noticed that I had painted the lake where my aunt & uncle have a summer cottage.

    Letcherself go, Rose: there’s SO much more to art than rendering faithfully. . .S-T-R-E-T-C-H your clouds, make them abstract, paint them with different strokes and colors. . .I’m trying to quilt a waterfall. . .any suggestions, anybody???

    My wife took an Abstract class a few years ago, with the idea that not having to look like anything was her ability level. I take delight in seeing what they look like (e.g. a bit beach or seafloor depending on how one of them was turned). She did progress to primitivism in time to give some as party favors for her 60th birthday.

His wife asked him what was the matter. He said that he was a little frightened of it.
