I put up my holiday lights last week when we had an unusually warm couple of days. When it gets light out I’ll see how much the wind took down last night (35mph sustained, gusts to 55mph).

Santa will drop down the chimneys in a hazmat suit this year.

I have most of my Christmas shopping done. We had a nice little wind storm yesterday, and the evergreen trees around me co-operated, and dropped some lovely branches for me. I was outside early, gathering the greens I need to decorate.

Yes.

Saw the first decorated tree of the season on my morning walk with the dog around my apartment complex. I usually find it ludicrous when people start decorating before Thanksgiving, but somehow this year I didn’t mind it so much. We all need some hope right about now.

Seeing how most of this year has gone, put up the tree, turn on the lights, make it happy for a while. Let the whiners be whiners, they will anyway.

My dentist had a Christmas tree in his office today.

I’m all for whatever can bringeth back good stuff in life.

Having said that, it’s still a little early for Xmas for me …
