Whatever you’ve got cooking in that smoker will take a certain element of its final flavor from the fuel burned to create the smoke. You can probably burn those pellets. Just don’t burn them all at once, mix ’em in.

Most people don’t know this, but the pellets that rabbits ingest are not their feces, but plant matter that needs to be re-digested. It’s more akin to a cow chewing its cud.

Yup. That’s why bunny chow looks so much like bunny poop. Leafy food contains so little nutrition that every kind of animal that specializes in it requires an adaptation to extract the most food value: cows with specialized stomachs, elephants with huge guts, etc. And for bunnies, they eat their food again and again. Nature doesn’t have to be pretty; it just has to work.
