Edgar Rice Burroughs wrote the Tarzan series from 1912 to about 1944. On the other hand, Merian Cooper produced the original film “Kong” in 1933. I wonder if one inspired the other with the giant gorilla vs giant prehistoric monster fight scene? I can’t seem to locate any information.

Is the ape very large or is this merely an attempt to depict depth of focus? Tune in tomorrow, same Ape Time, same Ape Channel.

If this ape is a friend of the ape Tarzan killed back on November 24th then Tarzan and Fawna are definitely not out of the woods yet (pun intended).

That gigantic Bolgani grunts to wooly bully Tantor, “Hey, I know that guy in the tree…..I’ll help dislodge him and the furry woman so we both can have a delicious lunch!”

Middle panel said “They were pondering their plight.” Were they pondering an escape, or were they pondering each other for a last “Oh, what the he11 … why not?”
