I remember when baby seats for bicycles became a big thing (about the time this strip was first printed). There was a huge outcry that parents were putting their little kids at risk.

And that’s why Rerun has always been my favorite…. from the Charge of the Light Brigade…. to losing his shoes…. his bike riding adventures have always been interesting.

Can Rerun’s mom even hear what he’s saying.

Looks familiar actually. I get nervous when I see people in heavy traffic at rush hour on major thoroughfares on bikes carrying kids! Or pulling those little wagons with a child in them. It looks unsafe to me, especially with so many reckless drivers on the road.

I never rode on the back of a bike, but this reminds me a LOT of being in the car when my mother drove

Indeed the Charge of the Light Brigade contains a relevance even in these times. Not quite the intent that Rerun has – but relevance none the less.

Tennyson would have been so proud of your memory. Honor the charge they made, honor the life they gave, noble 600…….

Probably fewer Russian cannons on Rerun’s rides.

Poor Rerun looks like he’s seen reruns of his short life flashing before his eyes, several times over!

There’s actually a cylinder of Alfred Lord Tennyson reading “The Charge of The Light Brigade.” It’s pretty amazing!

Wow! I’m surprised with you, Rerun! You know so many words for being a little kid whose only 3 or 4.

That kids gonna have PTSD.

I have been reading Prince Valiant for decades, and he has never yet offered anything as exciting as these four panels.
