The holidays do bring out the ideas that would have been doable if only we thought of them 5 months ago. (Especially with the quarantine.) By now, Cathy could have knit herself a 3-piece business suit.
One year I knitted a gazzion “skinny scarves” with a fabulous mix of yarns. One strand of that “eyelash yarn”, and a strand of something else held together. I used large-ish needles, nine cast on stitches, and they made up fast. I gave them to friends, enemies, strangers. It was great fun untill they went out of fashion.
Been there, done that! I get ideas at the end of the year and then I think that I can get it all done before Christmas. It doesn’t ever work. I have one project that I was planning to make but it’s going to take longer than I have so I’ll do it for next year.
Maybe this would be a good time to stay at home, enjoy a calm holiday season and remember the humanity behind it and the reasons people have always been at their best this time of year.

I have no ambition to do much of anything this season since we cannot travel nor socialize.

We don’t have to turn on cameras for work meetings, so I join with audio-only, and knit through all my meetings

So many are struggling with the isolation. I hope you find ways to help you continue to cope with safety protocols. <3

Keep studying Cathy! You’ve got a few months to knit a swimsuit.

Hey—hobbies (and distractions) like this can help pass the time … especially during the quarantine.
