Oh, the irony. Tiffany making fat shaming jokes a few scant years (luaan time) before she becomes fat.

Its lucky Tiff only gets diet cokes and saltines from the lunch lady, otherwise she might end up getting something “special” added to her lunch. It is kind of ironic that Tiff blimps up when she gets to Mooney University.

How much respect does Tif get?

Fat shaming is good if it gets people to lose weight and be more healthy. BTW I am over weight and I think fat shaming is a good thing.

I usually do not dislike arcs in the classic series, but this one is quite irritating. Tiffany is not just fat shaming she’s being purposely hurtful.

I see a brick in Tiffany’s future.

Lady you had best never ever go to China. They have even fewer social constraints on laughing at fat people.

People don’t fat shame because of their deep concern for the health of the individual. If that were true there would be hecklers outside of bars (because of drinking) and people hooting in derision at anorexics like Tiffany. People fat shame because they consider overweight people physically unattractive and it’s a useful justification for cruelty to say it’s all about health concerns. Ironically Tiffany’s reactions here are very much tied to her own eating disorder.

I looked ahead in this classic arc.

The Cashier will one-up Tiffany in a big way, (No pun intended) before this arc is over.

And what the Cashier says will not only be true then but it’ll still be true now. :)

Pretty heavy humor for a Tuesday. Oh, it is always SUCH a great idea to antagonize people who deal with your food. (I know waiters and waitresses – not a great idea.)

Tiffany’s nose will be shattered in 3, 2, 1…

Tiff is starving her brain of the necessary norishment and hydration which affects sound judgement.

With that in mind I used to say I was just a 220 pound man carrying around a couple of 110 pound women, like I did when younger and at the beach.
