Happy New Year to Sedgewick and Jarvis.

Cool hobby ! You never know what you will find. These days, though, I find I have to really think hard about whether I want to get down on my knees to uncover something, as it is a struggle to get up again. Old age….. not as much fun as advertised.

Very few pirates buried treasure. Mostly they spent it as soon as they got to a port.

What you really need to look for are sunken ships, but that requires a lot of research to know where to start searching.

How about an Al Capone hidden vault.

Easier digging on the beach…

I always thought the most likely thing to find was discarded metal detectors.

There was a cute, low key series on Netflix (borrowed from the British) called The Detectorists about nerdy two pals who did metal detecting as a hobby. I don’t know if it’s still available.

Hopefully this will be a short visit to these characters.

Doofus Master Sedgwick really does take advantage of Jarvis. I’d like to see Jarvis leave on some pretext or other for a week of Sedgie-coping-without-Jarvis’s-support….
