January 2021 is still just a transition period left over from 2020. Just as January 2020 wasn’t so bad, I have little doubt that most of January 2021 won’t be so good. Come March, though…..
Blame the year instead of paying attention to where you put your feet. There’re are too many folk who’ll blame anyone and everything but themselves for stupid actions.
My wife pointed out to me today that just because we have a new year, it doesn’t mean that things magically changed overnight. She’s right, of course, but arbitrary cutoffs and deadlines are one way we humans organize our lives, and they act as a lens through which we view events. If that weren’t true, we wouldn’t celebrate the new year with such enthusiasm and greet it with such optimism.
My husband’s driver side window shattered when he tried to unstick it. That’s going to cost us $300. A couple of hours into the new year I found a centipede crawling down my arm. 2021 is already proving to be just as bad as 2020. The bar is set very low.

Yeah, how long until 2022? Our dryer decided not to start this afternoon. Fortunately I have a warranty on it. Hope it covers what’s wrong.

Murphy’s law knows no time nor date limits. It’s one of the laws, or flaws, of existence.

It wasen’t 2020. COVID happened, and it happened in 2019. This is normal stuff that happens every year, except the election, which happens anyway.

Yeah. Some times if you make it through the scary forest all you do is find the wicked witches house.(Not me of course. My ex has a condo in Mordor)

It’s not what year it is, it’s what you make of it.

My only problem with 2021 so far is that my night crew manager is on vacation and that means I have to be manager for a week
It all evens out, I’m on vacation next week

I cut my finger on a kitchen blade and then got jabbed in the knee by a cactus. Yet I’m not crying for 2022 yet. I’m not to that point…

if that’s the worse that happened so far in 2021 it can only get better.

There’s probably still some residue of 2020 around. It’s not going quietly into that good night.

Sorry, it’s jam yesterday, jam tomorrow, no jam today. Same jam thing as last year.

Fear not. Fat lady not scheduled to sing until 20th. This is just 2020 purgatory.

Wait until the nationwide lockdown happens. Currently, we are 10 months into “Two weeks to slow the spread!”
