The immediate and current events in U.S. politics and government are the direct result of some 35% or more Of Americans who don’t know, or fail to comprehend history.
In 1967-8 I took 8th grade U.S. History. The teacher focused on military history, troop movements, significant battles, drawing the various flags, etc., but never even addressed the causes and events leading into the wars. Military history has its own place but what that teacher did was useless.

Don’t make me laugh. Kids today aren’t taught their own country’s history, much less that of ancient Greece.
