Distant cartoon birds in the sky. It took me a few seconds.

Hmm… I understood what they were right away for some reason.

They may be “off”, but they’re easy (just ask the cartoonist).

I had an art professor in college who forbade us from using the “M” to depict birds.

They’re fly-by-nights! Only to be seen in the evenings drinking wine and taking flight at dusk!

I got it, and immediately started laughing! Thanks for making me laugh (I’m assuming the length of time it took me to figger it out contributed to the laughter!)
