According to the interwebs – Mr. Peanut — full name Bartholomew Richard Fitzgerald-Smythe — was born in 1916, when schoolboy Antonio Gentile submitted his design for an anthropomorphic peanut mascot to a Planters contest.
OK – do we get one serious comment per day? Here’s mine: I’m uncomfortable when people I’ve just met or service reps on the phone call me by my first name. As a more “seasoned” person, I prefer “Mr.” Until we go fishing together! (I’m done)
