“Hot Box” back in the days of highschool football meant we put a guy in the middle of a bunch of fellows and he’d run in place. We’d smack him one by running into him to get him used to being hit where he couldn’t see them and to be alert as possible for blindsides. It was not vicious nor hard. It was just a drill. :)
only 54 more days until volume 3 is released!!! I preordered mine several weeks ago & can’t wait to get it!! https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/1524865079/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

They did this once at my daughter’s school. Someone upchucked, you’ve never seen 23 kids scramble to get out from under all at once.

The look on Spud’s face in panel 2 is a hoot. So is Wallace’s response.

Dear Mr. Henry, I just had an idea for a story arc- On Feb. 19, 2019, you here about Wallace’s Grandfather. Wallace should meet his grandparents.
