Surely Darby drew this last week and just put 2012 in to trick us.

Darby had no idea how good a job he was doing at predicting the future. When he wrote this arc it was outlandish, funny, and unbelievable. Eight years later it is eerily familiar and scary.

You would think that secessionist proclivities would disqualify even a sitting President.

Considering some of those we have elected President, a cat would be an improvement. Come to think of it, a hairball would be an improvement! ☺

There was a time in the US when this would have been a ridiculous idea.

You’re British, a cat, and not over age 35. Three strikes and you’re out. You might not know that, but Bucky is just as clueless as you, with less reason.

In Canada we have a separatist party that runs in every election. They only run in Quebec. From 1993-1997 the official opposition party to the ruling Liberals was the separatist party as they had the second most seats in the country. So yes secessionists can get elected as part of the actual government of a country that they are hoping to take apart.
