My wife got her teaching degree from Illinois State in Normal.

I grew up not that far from Normal. There’s a town near it called Oblong. Along with that is the old joke about the wedding announcement in the paper that read: “Normal Man Marries Oblong Woman.”

Sandwich is north of Normal.

I knew normal.

Normal is just a setting on a washing machine.

It’s right next to Towanda. About an hour and a half from here.

I’d prefer the old normal (not just before the pandemic, but before the great divide occurred in our society)
