What’s the point of putting them all in the corner? They’re still talking to each other. It would have been better for them to put their head down on the table.
The whole class—(l. to r.) Beni, Marcus, Dill, Kevin, Alice, and Nara—is in Time Out! The swelling tide of their curiosity about snow and sootis has overwhelmed the planned agenda for Timmy Fretwork, the Banjo Man, and aroused the ire of Miss Bliss (whom he has not yet married, and that’s significant)!
Don’t know if this has been said, but don’t the two adults take into account these are pre-schoolers??? They are nothing but questions. I feel there should be emphasis on one child asking one question, taking orderly turns. This teaches patience and the badly needed concept of waiting for your turn. This is a lesson 99.99999% of the Karen’s either missed or ignore.

I suspect being made to listen to Mr Fretwork is the worse punishment they are trying to avoid.

You can’t tie down a banjo man, but nobody puts the Uh-Oh Baby in the corner.
