@Number Three Today’s strip IS funny , our HERO Mr Andrew Capp’s mistrust of the Vicar has cost him dearly but at least Flo gets to keep the 50 Sterling raffle prize and not share it wit the little twit :o) my avatar is again my birth sign Leo roaring his head off because he feels a little better like I do, at least I don’t feel like kicking the bucket yet , it sucks to be old :o[ how was your day? our Finally Friday should be busy but calm I hope , we have already done our bulk shopping, it’s not raining and we are both in a fairly good and hope my fav nosh won’t make me sick again , keep safe stay off milk products and thanks for caring young Lady.
@Number Three they have just phoned me to tell me that the wife of my eldest cousin died , that makes me & Connie the only survivours of a large number of cousins and wives
The drawing is off today, looks like someone didn’t use the mouse correctly when they were dragging the vicar’s hat on to his head. Flo is off also. Don’t usually complain but this is so obvious.
I went to the shops today in the rain. It was great to get out and I sneakily bought myself an Aero Mint Chocolate bar. I got the last one! Aero is a British confectionary brand and the chocolate is bubbly. I love both the original and the mint. The mint a little bit more. I bought myself one nearly a week ago as well. Sssh! Don’t tell anyone.
I am very sorry for your loss as well. Unfortunately this is life as we know it. I hope your cousin is getting the support he needs. He will heal but it takes a long time. I know you being a nurse, you’ll have encountered plenty of deaths on an almost daily basis I’m guessing and no doubt having to break the news to relatives as well.
Stay safe, stay well and try to stay happy, pal. Enjoy your favourite nosh. See you after the weekend.
In two weeks I will turn 89. All in all, It has been a good life. I have lived in Germany,Japan,Vietnam,Alaska during my time in the Army. I have outlived 2 Wives, beat Cancer. No regrets. I am on my 15th President. Good bad and indifferent

As a Yank who hasn’t been in England since the early 1980s, just how far would £50 go in Jack’s Pub?

Flo: “Thank you Vicar, I’ll see that the money is used wisely, and not like me hubby would.”

I can’t remember. Are English pounds more or less than US dollars?

Im surprised that they didnt draw Andy in the last frame with him standing there with a sweat drop when Vicar tells Flo about the raffle prize.

Flo’s lucky day—Andy is out “sporting” and she gets 50 pounds. Double lucky day.

I’m betting the first word out of Flo’s mouth was, “BINGO!”

Hoisted Andy, by your own petard.

Flo will use it to pay the rent or other debts that are in arrears. It will be used for good.

Do not tell Andy!
I repeat, DO NOT.
