Man, I’d REALLY hate to bite my tongue that hard!

Why would leftover Valentine’s candy be disgusting? Usually this candy is of a higher quality than Halloween’s candy.

I bought 5 boxes of dark chocolate covered cherries because I know my wife likes them

I told her one box was for me

The adults take all the chewies first, and leave the jellies for the kids.

Valentines, right up there with Ground Hog day.

I agree with Frazz. Valentines Day can set you up for real disappointment.

Who has leftover Valentine candy? Not me.

Leftover Whitman’s Samplers are more disgusting than caramel corn?

Flavors in the chocolate pieces are not all appealing to kids- leftover means the pieces that the parents didn’t eat!

Both Halloween and Valentine chocolates are usually old by the time the holiday comes around.

Interesting that so much of this discussion has been about the candy and not how disappointing the day can be for some, as suggested by Frazz’ comment.

It’s surprising how few kids like pure chocolate.

Mention of both holidays brings to mind a publisher’s rep I met once named Valentine – he was born on Halloween. Two weeks early. Do the math.

With my dad and I, all the milk chocolate and chewy ones were left over… I would take them out right away so they wouldn’t get stale and share them with my co-workers.
