There was an old (Loony Tunes?) cartoon that had a dog mentioning that sand paper was “Ruff” top of the house “Roof” and the the best baseball player, “Ruth” (rejected he says, should I have said DiMaggiao?)

That was 1 of the better “Shaggy Dog” jokes. But, the dragging the joke out for 5 or more minutes was the root of the demise of shaggy dog gags!

What happened to question 2? Question 1 was Saturday, Sunday was Sunday (Different topic), Now Question 3.

Also, I thought they should/would have had to answer all 3 questions right – not just one.

Maybe “Shingles” is actually a good answer – since these dogs are able to communicate with more than just typical dog words/sounds.

Just throw the dog a bone and move on !

This arc has dragged on… However all the corny dog joke answers to “what is on top of a house?” made today’s cartoon worth it.

I was hoping he would ask “What’s on the outside of a tree?”

ROOF! Roof!(woof woof) LOL!

Thank goodness there are others with a good repertoire of old jokes so that just the punchline is all you need to bring the joke in its entirety to mind. 893.
