I’m sure it’s fine. Now that the entire world has seen that Republicans are unwilling to punish those who attack the US capitol, no one will ever try anything like that ever again. /s

tRump and his evil idiots who stormed the Capitol could murder their families and they would still support him because all that matters to them is getting re-elected which they can’t do without the support of tRump’s dumb-ass base!!!

If we got rid of anyone who didn’t think the same as ourselves, we might end with only you and I and we would most likely sleep with one eye open.

600,000 years ago, there was 5 or 6 different races of humanoids. We either assimilated or annilated each of them. Doesn’t sound like we’ve changed much, does it?

McCarthy’s putting on Chapstick as I read this so he can kiss Trump’s ass. The GOP was lost the moment they sold their souls to the devil/Trump.

So the lesson the “Republicans” teach their children is that crime pays quite well [with no fear of being punished by laws] and liars do prosper?

Perversely, this might be when, the much maligned United decision, comes to the rescue of our democracy. Corporate sponsors are denying funds to the wacko Republican Party even while abandoning its affiliations with same.

Trump wants to start a new party. I’d be willing to bet we hear a speech something very like this in a little while. “… On this date and from this very hall began the Movement’s amazing march to victory, which bore it to the helm of (America), to leadership of the nation and its destiny. This day is a great day for me too. Surely, it is seldom that a political leader can stand before the same band of followers that hailed his first great public (some) years before, and repeat the same program. Seldom can a man proclaim the same doctrines and put them into practice for (so many) years without at any time having had to relinquish a single part of his original program. In (2016), when we met for the first time in this hall, many of you must have asked yourselves: “Dear me, a new party, another new party! Why do we want a new party? Don’t we have parties enough?”If the new movement had been or had intended to be nothing but a continuation of the old parties or an addition to existing parties, such an objection would indeed have been justified. There were certainly more than enough parties in those days. But, after all, our movement was something quite different from all the existing and incipient parties of the time. It was a movement that declared for the first time and from the very outset that it had no intention of representing the definite, clearly outlined interests of individual classes. It did not stand for town or farm. It did not represent Catholic or Protestant interests; nor did it represent individual sections of the country. This was a movement which was definitely centered upon the concept of the (American) people. It was not a class party, sworn to uphold the right or the left, attempting to divide the nation, but one which from its very beginning had no thought for anything but the (American) people as a whole."I’ve changed a very few words and it’s more coherent than most Trump speeches, but it does sound like him and his followers, doesn’t it?

The white racist republican’s need to be investigated for their attack on our Capitol that killed 5 people. One more than the death toll at Benghazi. We will have to investigate the right wing extremists for years to get to the bottom of their treachery.

Can you imagine wimpy moron Trump sitting for 11 hours answering questions?

Maybe next time, the “patriots” will achieve their objectives and kill a few people with all America watching. Does whitewash cover up blood stains? Then, of course, the GOP will offer their “thoughts and prayers” to the victims and beef up their own personal security. (But that’s only if the right people get killed, of course.) /s

One of the fantasies in the MAGA-Matrix is that the US is overly generous in foreign aid. Afghanistan and Israel are the biggest recipients of the 0.18% of our GNI (Gross National Income) and it’s silly to compare our dollar amount when most other OECD with smaller GNIs contribute a much higher percentage.

McConnell, having calculated that the only people remaining in the GOP are MAGA, is rapidly retreating from his original effort to detrump the party. He is probably counting on having essential control of the congress to block the Biden administration. I hope he has miscalculated! Karma, baby!

What happens the next time if the coup attempt succeeds? The Trump Terrorists and Q-Nuts, are going to continue to infest goverment ranks around the country. This cult will continue to become more violent. Mary Trump was right. Trump will continue to be a very dangerous man to the country.

Already have their minions chanting that IF the Trump Patriot attack on Congress of 1/6/21 actually even happened, it was actually the work of Antifa… and despite those rioters shouting for Trump and carrying his signs, he had nothing to do with it… and besides, it is not fair to ever hold Trump accountable for anything – let alone punish him…

Steve Bannon’s pre-riot boasting and gloating tends to take the wind out of the sails of those who keep insisting that the rioters were actually Antifa posing as Trumpskies. A desperate and foolish claim on its face. and if so, the dozens of arrested rioters are doing a heroic job of maintaining the sham in their sworn statements.

Amazing how so many ill-informed folks can see all sorts of problems with a President that was totally concerned with improving the plight of the United States and yet see no problem with the election fraud that put a corrupt career politician and a political slag in office. Sleepy Joe and the Ho and their Marxist America-haters have shown their true colors in the first week of the new presidency. I’d say God help us but why should he after the murdering of 62 million potential citizens in the last few years?
