How come. The downfall of proper grammar. Should he not have said, “Pardon me Mom, may I see the menu?” However that would have totally ruined the punchline. Oh wait! I see. Today’s joke is a mockery of the modern education system.

When eating at “Mom’s”, one must observe the house rules.
