Good question. I have five red winter turtle necks. Keep thinking I should reduce the number, but which?

I went to visit my brother for a week a year and a half ago. He was convinced I never changed my clothes the entire visit because I have the same type of wardrobe… All my pants are the same colour and style as are my socks, shirts and underwear. If your clothes vary you have to decide what to wear and to me thats a waste of time.

Look for the amount of wear and stains.

When my FIL died at age 93, in his closet were 117 shirts. Quite a few had that yellow 90% off Kohl’s tag.

Pretty sure Ben would give away the newer clothes, they’re not as comfortable as the older worn in clothes. What do you think?

Liv should be a better judge of the recipient of her largesse. GOODWILL CEO and owner Mark Curran profits $2.3 million a year. Goodwill is a very catchy name for his business. You donate to his business and then he sells the items for PROFIT. The CEO of the Salvation Army makes less than $20K per year. I only donate to the SA.

Give the patchiest one to Goodwill, the one with the most food stains to the soup kitchen, and the holiest one to the Church… ☺

I several years ago instituted a 2-for-1 rule – for everything I buy (or otherwise bring into the household; other than food, of course), two similar things have to go out. I bought a new pair of shoes – I threw out my rollerblades and the oldest pair of running shoes. I bought a new steam iron – and donated the old one and an electric skillet I haven’t used in 10 years. For books, it’s a three-for-one requirement.

Guess you need to start date stamping you clothes.
