Up my way, if the outside temperature drops into the single digits Fahrenheit or below – which it’s done often the past month or so – the furnace has a tough time keeping up …

We’re dealing with freezing rain here. A rare event for south Louisiana.

Ironic that the fairly recent “Sam & Sedine VW in a blizzard” arc, became sort of a current reality….

It was -18ºF the night of Feb 13-14 here in S.E. Wisconsin. I can imagine how ungodly cold it is there in your neck of the woods, Bea! I have a hot-water radiator system, with the high-limit temp. on my two-stage boiler set as high as it will go (220ºF) and it still couldn’t keep up that night. Our forecast (where I’m located) says that we’ll finally get a break around Wednesday… here’s hoping!!

I’m more interested in how Ellie is doing and how she and Hubbs can work things out. You don’t have to draw it out just hint that things between them will be okay.

I sure sympathize-here in south Georgia, we can freeze to death at room temperature!

Here we are complaining cuz the temps this week have been in the high 60s as compared to the high 70s the last couple of weeks.

Cold sucks, but better be safe than sorry.

A space heater might do the job. Otherwise, move the art room, wait, or insulate better. Wait is easiest. But if a space heater is used, make it electric, unplug when not using, and make the kind that turns off if turned over. ( Have a ceramic one like that . It could run me out of a small room.)

My brothers and sisters in Texas are reporting around 2-8 degrees F, that is crazy. Here is Florida it is a nice 58 degrees F, wet but nice.

Most Southern places don’t use furnaces, they use HIVAC systems that provide heat and air conditioning. Good only if your outside temperature stays above 30-40. If it gets colder, then it has to draw a lot of electricity to warm you up especially if it turns on emergency heating coils. So then people start using space heaters which can be dangerous. We have already had a lot of fires in Jacksonville due to people using space heaters or trying to use their fireplaces.

Now is a good time to make a wishlist of remodel/renovations for that art creation space. You don’t have to do anything now, but it can be a list of little goals to shoot for.

I loved that arc so it OK with me.

The good news is the story arc has been left in “cliffhanger” fashion! “I’m Gonna Diiee!” :)

A few drops of Everclear will keep the ink and artist from freezing.

23 days in a row at work. Snow, ice, start work before o’dark thirty or a o’stupid early. Rpest, mix. Think I believe we are now a snow comoan not a landscape company. I’m 2 weeks behind schedule

On one hand, Ohhh, Man!!! For some strange reason, it’s humid in Bermuda. It’s February! We’re supposed to be freezing! It’s our coldest month! So, my heart goes out to everyone who is freezing out there…

On the other hand, Lumber… Lumber… Lumber… LumberCats, HOOOOOOOO!!!
