It used to be that phones were for calls. Now nobody calls, and when they do, I have trouble answering. Miss being able to pick one up and say, “Hello”.

It was a beautiful day today as I walked on campus. Yet almost every student walking was looking at their phones!

Soon a cerebral implant will replace the phone. Not sure what that will be like…..

Seems like a call is never anything good anymore. Always something tense.

I use my cell phone so little that I had to have a friend give me a “refresher” call so I knew how to answer it. . .

Ralph is just trying to remember what that device in his hand is used for.

Handsets are available to plug into the headphone jack of some older cell phones. If I didn’t have too much crap already, I’d get one just for the effect of pulling it out in a crowded place to talk on.

Went into CVS pharmacy yesterday to get our Covid Shots and the store blocked out cell service to T-Mobile. Talk about spending forty-five minutes (we arrived early) with no internet. Mostly twiddled my thumbs.

Now that’s typecasting old people as tech challenged, but in Ralph’s case it fits.

Trick is to claim you were checking the time.
