Yeah, sort of. Before I retired I was an Application Software Specialist. So I can usually stumble around and figure out how to deal with things. But my head has never been in the “Cloud”. The companies I worked for were very security conscience about their proprietary data and that rubbed off on me. Even to this day I prefer to keep things local and in my control. I just don’t get buying a movie that some company stores on their server “in the Cloud”. What if they go belly up?
I tried to be a techie, but I couldn’t keep up with the upgrades. I had an ordinary job and in my spare time I taught myself C. All would have been fine except an 8 hour job, family and other commitments didn’t leave any time to keep up.

“Cloud” = you put your data on our server, then pay us in perpetuity for the right to access your data – all the while trusting us to keep it secure.
No thank you very much.

“And they say the railroad will be coming through any day now.”
Well, then, you’d better arrange to have your house moved! O<|];o)

The problem with the punchline is Elliot is very unlikely to be aware of “the railroad” let alone the reference of it “coming to town.”

Actually here, the railroad comes through several times every day. It’s quite annoying.

There’s no “cloud”, it’s just other computers.
