Could Wallace and the Cove be rubbing off on Amelia?

Amelia as a rule, doesn’t give goo-goo eyed creeps compliments.

the masochsim has left amelia’s body the end is nigh

Obviously, she is delirious.

That there is one of them “Time Stop” moments.

And Amelia’s small heart grew three sizes that day..!

I love that middle panel! Each face adorable.

Cue the dodgeball, stage left.

Everything stops but the bouncing ball! Nice touch!

I could hear the squeeking breaks as time suddenly stood still. Amelia? Is that you?

Oh no…. Amelia has started to see good quality in Spud and compliment him!!!!

I don’t know. She didn’t go all the way to what for her would be the dark side. She did qualify it with “actually,” so it’s maybe more of a statement of disbelief than a sincere compliment (as a simple “That’s impressive” would be).

She needs no nurse, she needs a punching bag

Sometimes, and only rarely, a performance simply transcends all boundaries. Baryshnikov, Comenichi, The Miracle on Ice … and Spud acing a math test. :-)

Amelia’s mind is officially blown

I once had a similar reaction to a late night talk show host who didn’t start his monologue with a presidential put-down!

Amelia definitely has a way of ruining what would have been a great compliment to Spud.

That kid on the hand-to-hand rings stopped mid-swing! Long enough for the little yellow bird to land on the ring where his hand had just been, moments before!

I even heard the crickets all the way over here!
