Hey, at least they tried! They also could have had the WW1 flying ace do a fly over in his Sopwith Camel!

Flying upside down is pretty impressive. I’d like to see a pigeon do that.

Hey, Peppermint Patty. You are in the Sub-Pee-Wee League. Just wait a few years and you will get into bigger leagues with bigger and better “Opening Day Ceremonies”.

That’s the smallest pipe organ ever … though it could’ve been done with a theremin!! 8^0

I believe PP has it mixed up. The release of pigeons she refers to was done in the book AND movie BEN HUR just prior to the chariot race. When the pigeons were released there was a group of trumpeters blaring into the air. It was an impressive opening for the impending race. Nevertheless, Woodstock flying upside down is a grand entrance for Patty’s and Chuck’s otherwise ersatz teams to start another season of mass confusion…..

I have something planned for Thursday. Like the players and managers and coaches, and even umpires I will be wearing #42 on my jersey. They will be wearing their team jerseys, mine will be a replica Brooklyn Dodgers home jersey, also with #42. If you don’t know why, you need to know more about baseball. Happy reading. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jackie_Robinson_Day

Fire up the trusty old Sopwith Camel and have WWI flying ace Snoopy do a fly by to salute opening day.

Though not geometric it does have a pattern, up and down. I think Woodstock reads too many numerical or economic graphs.

Locally I knew there was a chance of rain for our opening day, so I was surprised when the TV showed that it was so sunny here [I usually don’t put the sound on]. After what seemed like a quick seven innings, the ceremonies were really impressive including small boxes handed out to everyone in the organization and lots of old timers showing up. Turns out it was rained out, but they needed to show something between the commercials. [I did wonder about the packed crowd with no masks on.]

I remember during a football halftime show thousands of helium balloons were released in the air. The theme was titled A Tribute To Molecules.

It’s sandlot baseball, Peppermint Patty. That’s FAR MORE opening ceremonies than sandlot baseball gets. MORE than most Little League baseball gets too.
