I know artists have a great deal of flexibility within their strips. I do not recall Rob ever moving to new digs and I remember a great deal of debate on exactly what kind of place they lived. I found this last night on page 78 in “Clean Up On Aisle Stupid”. Bucky is looking out the window and upon noticing a Lego block wonders how it got there on their 4th story window ledge.
We regard rhyme as a decoration, but not an essential part of poetry. However, we have resisted the call to label any arbitrary disconnected rambling of symbols on a page poetry just because the writer and/or her promoters demand it. We still insist upon recognizable meter to distinguish a writing or utterance as poetry rather than prose or just general rubbish.
We ARE somewhat amused by the people who use the “Emporer’s New Clothes” routine to gain worshipers and, incidentally, cash. Manipulative skills can work just as well as creative competence when seeking fame and fortune. It’s also called salesmanship (or connections to those who possess salesmanship).
That said, we have many kinds of tulips in our gardens, including various colors and some curious shapes. What can we say? We find them decorative! :)
