1 What, it’s only 700 lbs.

2 Umbrella Guy was just leaving.

3 Bus must be full of Balrogs.

Simply amazing story lines.

What a man!

1. Only 3 men? Ha! You got a one man army now, pal.

I just loves the perspective in this one. What a portrayal of three dimensional depth! Foxo the master of art and perspectives delivers quality once again.

2. Bozo don’t likes to waits. You makes him waits and his inner Hulk awakes.

Even in this one which has little space for depthful backgrounds, Foxo delivers a three dimensional depth by drawing the scene at a slight angle.

3. What we miss here next is the scene where Bozo stops a bus with his bare hands.

Umbrella guy is back to hanging on the rooftops. It’s just a matter of time the owner of the building notices him and calls the cops on him.

In all the three, Subject matter, artwork, expressions, scenes, depths, all great. A big thumbs up again for Foxo Reardon and his masterpiece BOZO.

1) Small package big strength. 2) If it were today Bozo couldn’t smoke so he wouldn’t have waited at all. 3) Bozo’s had it with waiting.

1. But don’t expect to get three times the salary.

2. I guess Bozo didn’t get the job.

3. If that doesn’t work nothing will.

I’m fascinated by how Foxo achieved the shading and pattern effects in these strips. How tedious is it to draw white dots with a black ink pen? And the shaded areas are actually very fine cross-hatchings. Is that really done by hand, or is he using printed screening patterns that are cut and pasted in? I know of such aids that were used before computers were capable of filling shapes with patterns.

The bear-faced fellow is right. These strips are even better drawn than they look.

Hey, police those butts, Mister! You think some guy with an umbrella’s going to jump down from a roof and pick ’em up for you?

1. Bozo, the little guy with the strength of three.

2. Now I know what to do the next time at the doctors office. That guy got Bozoed.

3. After seeing what happened to the guy in strip #2, I would not want to be the driver of that bus.

1) Bozo’s super strength get’s him the job of 3 men. But will he get the commensurate payment?

2) Waiting, waiting, waiting then Bozo finally get’s in and doesn’t get the answer he likes and gives the fellow a new shiner for his troubles.

3) The bus just ignores him so to make sure then next bus will stop he puts the bus stop sign in the street!

Nice use of half tones here.
