And need I say the obvious? Once again a big thumbs up for Foxo’s marvellous masterpiece, the wordless wonder called Bozo!
Just look at them wonderful three dimensional cartoon world, all drawn in great perspectives, with skill and care.
Such depth perception and background details or events is rarely seen in most cartoons that I has seen, especially in ones like these, that are a gag a day comics.
The umbrella guy falls into the water through the ice, all this happens in the background, in the earlier panels. And then, he gets fished outta there.
Even scenes in other two strips aren’t without a three-d depths. The walls at an angle to the observer do the job effectively. Only one error in the second one is that the angle of the window doesn’t quite match the angle of the wall.
Moving on to the third one, even indoor scenes are given three d perspectives with the doors and walls at an angle. This is how Foxo draws it every time, ensuring us that gives a realistic three d depths to every panel drawn.
And the two characters in the background of the courtroom scene is just wonderful. (One of em is the umbrella guy). Foxo also throws in a little shadow of Bozo on the judge’s table. Foxo creates spectacular three dimensional scenes even in such indoor scenes.
And not to mention the great facial expressions and body language of the characters, and with all this, with artwork alone and no words spoken by any of them, Foxo proves time and again that a picture speaks a thousand words. And also that silence is golden, and indeed it is, and so is Bozo. Bozo is pure gold.
LOL I didn’t expect that last panel after noticing Umbrella Man falling down in the second. (That would have been a hard pull through the water with the umbrella still up… maybe the current helped. Still LOL.)
Foxo can make simple drawings that are readable and interesting in his backgrounds. A nice turn of pace putting Buzzy as part of the gag from extreme background to fore ground.
All three are good, but I like the first one the most. First read through I the gag was he caught Fuzzy, but on second read through I noticed how Fuzzy got into the water which made the gag better since the foreground and background make a complete story. Don’t see that type of set up and detail in other comics.

And Bozo brings such joy everyday, even after half a century has passed. Quality works are evergreen.

1) What the heck is Bozo using for bait? 2) The monkey thinks he’s working for a coffee grinder. 3) There’s another fine mess you’ve gotten me into.

I was looking for a cigar in the monkey’s mouth as well.

I like the lawyer’s smile in the second panel of “Two birds with”. He’s so confident.

⓵ So much going on today. Fuzzy broke through the ice and Bozo caught a Brollyfish.
⓶ Catch a monkey by the tail; penny in the cup and hit the trail!
A good clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cn8kN0yCMTE (1:58)
A cute one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xh2nLljpDY4 (10:14)
⓷ A good lawyer is worth the money; unfortunately, Bozo didn’t have much.

Where is Bozo’s ball of string in the first panel of the first comic??? :)
Night-Gaunt49[Bozo is Boffo] about 3 years ago
1) Front and center: While Bozo is ice fishing Buzzy falls into the water and comes up as Bozo pulls him out of the chilly water.
2) Have a cuppa: Organ grinder and monkey come to ask for money. Friendly Bozo fills his begging cup with coffee.
3) Having a stooge for a lawyer: Bozo in court calls in on to help him and they both go to jail!
