1 Reminds me of an old golf joke. Golfer finds himself stuck with a troublesome lie, asks caddie “How would you play this?” Caddie replies"Under an assumed name." (Laugh at him all you want, Umbrella Guy has a better handicap than you.)
2 Good thing Bozo used the front entrance. (Umbrella Guy really getting around today.)
3 They’d tackle him but who wants to get penalized for roughing the ref? (Umbrella Guy going for the old Statue of Liberty play.)
Bozo the only funnies comic that’s drawn so skilfully and gracefully, full of scenes with such depths and details, a wonderful wordless wonder which takes us to a beautiful and spectacular three dimensional cartoon world on two dimensional paper, or nowadays on two dimensional screens. A big thumbs up and a big applause, of course, for Foxo’s marvellous masterpiece, the picturesque pantomime called BOZO, a gracefully glorious gem of comics.
Four views of Umbrella Man. Two in Who’s Calling Please? But my favorite today is Fuzzy is either leading the cheers or blocking the Front Row. Makes you wonder if Foxo Reardon knew people would be playing “Where’s Waldo” for the Umbrella Man to a whole new generation.
Happy Thanksgiving to all Bozo followers! Remember, if you are traveling and if you drink, don’t drive. If you drive, don’t drink. Not preaching here, just want to see you back here safely Friday or whenever you return. Have a great American holiday!
We have been discussing whether Bozo is rich or poor for some time. I say he often comes into some money with his many talents, but he usually doesn’t keep it for long due to his innate generosity and extravagant habits.
Here we see Bozo living in a sewer, but he has come into some money – so he is employing a butler! I’m sure that butler is well paid, too, and when the money is gone, Bozo will still have his sewer to live in, by himself until he comes into money again.
The same applies to caddies! I believe Bozo was confident he could make that putt himself, but his generosity moved him to give the boy a chance to play – on an easy shot.
1) Having some Tee: Ever golfing, Bozo the Great and Funny is ready to hit the ball in the hole. However, he decides he is a bit flushed, let’s his caddy do it and does!
2) Out Of Sight! : Bozo on the run from his beat cop and drops down a man hole, cop demands and another fellow pops up asking “what?”
3) Kickoff: The kickoff is made and Bozo as an official grabs it and runs for the other yardline! (Maybe he played for that team before?)

1. I’ve heard of a pinch hitter, but a pinch putter?
2. What scares me is that a portal to another dimension and the butler is Bozo!
3. Illegal man downfield?

1. Probably a more common relationship than we would care to admit.

How often does Umbrella Man turn up twice in the same day? I was surprised, but happy!

I think all referees love the game and would like to be players if they could. When Bozo gets a chance, why not?
